Taormina can be reached by train from the main places in Sicily.
Taormina-Giardini Naxos Railway Station
The train station of Taormina-Giardini Naxos, is one of the main stations of the line Messina-Catania.
The station was inaugurated in 1866 and is housed in a remarkable building, in Art Nouveau, consisting of a main two-storey high, flanked by two wings stretched.
The station is located almost halfway between Messina and Catania and it is the stop point for all categories of passenger trains.
How to reach Taormina Center from Taormina-Giardini Naxos Train Station
From the train station of Taormina-Giardini Naxos you can reach the center of Taormina by bus InterBus. Timetable is available on www.interbus.it and tickets can be bought from the driver on the bus. The journey to the Bus Terminal on Via Luigi Pirandello takes 10/15 minutes.
Taxis are also available at the train station. The cost for the same journey is about 15,00€.
